PENRYN, CA – Indian Country Insurance, Inc. has introduced a newly formed American Indian owned business incorporated April 2006, under the Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Tribe Business Corporation Act. ICI has developed an occupational injury insurance program, crafted to benefit and fill the unique needs of business owned and operated on tribal trust land. “Indian Country Insurance will provide Tribal clients with the opportunity to benefit from the many financial savings features of the program offered by no other carrier in the business,” said Linda Navarro, Chief Executive Officer.
Incorporated under the Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Tribes Business Corporation Act, ICI is exempt from state regulations, creating an operating savings, which tribal and individually owned American Indian businesses will benefit from. The savings realized by ICI will be passed on to policy holders with an initial premium savings estimated at 15%. To further benefit policyholders, ICI has developed a claims pool for each insured, savings realized from their respective claims experience, in accordance with ICI will be returned to policyholders’ as a premium credits.
ICI has contracted with a California company with extensive occupational injury management experience to underwrite our policies, manage and pay claims.
